- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪At 28, having carpal tunnel is rare. But I am a professional photographer and artist and years of computer editing and repetitive motion gave me horrible carpal tunnel in both wrists. I had my first surgery on my right hand in March. Very simple and easy, Dr. Sypher was his usual cheery self that morning at Moses Cone outpatient center. I was asked what my pain was before and after surgery: before I said an 8 and after a 2. Instantly the numbness and tingling was gone, and this was especially awful since it was robbing me of sleep. The first day and second days the actual incision ached but by day 3; I was simply taking an Advil here and there and felt much better. This surgery was a breeze and I will return in the fall for my left hand to be treated. All of Dr. Sypher's staff and his PA Robert were absolutely fab!
